Among the many items of expenditure, there are 400 costumes, 100 chariots armed with scythes, 200 plates (perfect reproductions made in India), 4,550 horses, 12,000 extras, plus the cachet of the actors, including Raz Degan in the role of Alberto da Giussano. The rest, of course. Final expenditure: $ 30 million, including post-production for the 800 scenes with digital special effects.
Who paid? 60 per cent private entrepreneurs around the league, 40 percent Rai: € 12 million of taxpayers' money, then, to weigh on the budget already dramatically red of the TV public.
Money that is now certain, never coming back: in the cinema "Barbarossa" is a collection of box office flop and - as expected - will not cover even a third of the costs incurred. Last
Berlusconi used the word Rai (which will force the film in two parts on the small screen) to keep the ally of good government, at our expense.
That must be the famous "thieving Rome", the slogan which the League has taken its first steps until you come to enjoy the spoils.
